Program Prerequisites:

The Doctor of Nursing Practice program requires students to have a master's degree with an upper level major in nursing from an accredited university also accredited by CCNE, ACEN, or CNEA. Additionally students must provide proof of completion of a graduate-level statistics course and a nursing research course before taking MN 504: Scientific and Analytic Approaches to Advanced Evidence-Based Practice. Finally, students have to submit proof of completion of a minimum of 1000 clinical hours as a registered nurse.

Program Description:

The Doctor of Nursing Practice program is designed to build on previous nursing knowledge and experience to allow students to take on leadership roles. The program focuses on preparing students to focus on improving health care systems and patient outcomes. As part of the program students have the opportunity to apply their theory in a practical setting working in close conjunction with their DNP Faculty Mentor. Purdue University Global's DNP program teaches students critical skills in data analysis, scientific research, organizational and system leadership, and ethics.
