School Offering Program:
Purdue University Global
In addition to Purdue University Global's general admission requirements, students who wish to enroll in the program usually need a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, management, or finance. However, those without a degree in these fields must show their competency by passing a Peregrine entrance exam. If they do not get a passing score, students are required to take up to six modules in finance and IT. Some programs may have additional requirements.
Purdue Global University designed the Master of Science in Accounting program to help students become problem solvers, critical, thinkers, and consummate professionals in the field. The program's objective is to help students study advanced theories and principles of accounting, get hands-on experience with accounting computer programs, and learn the skills and habits that make for great accountants. Some knowledge and skills a student may develop in the program include accounting data analysis, IRS compliance strategies, department management, and research methods. Students must choose a concentration from these four options: tax, audit, finance, and government. Each concentration requires three extra courses.
Eligible students could be able to receive financial aid in the forms of grants, loans, and scholarships. Contact Purdue University Global's financial aid office for more information.'
