The Master of Science in Nursing program requires students to have a bachelor's degree with an upper-level major in nursing from an accredited university. Additionally students must have completed a statistics course and a nursing research course with a grade of 'C' or better before enrollment in MN504 Scientific and Analytic Approaches to Advanced Evidence-Based Practice.

Program Description:

Purdue University Global's Master of Science in Nursing program is designed to prepare students to work in advanced practice, laying a foundation to pursue a doctoral degree. The MSN program focuses on learning a theoretical base and then applying that theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. Students of this program have the opportunity to apply that theory in a hands-on setting via the practicum and clinical requirements. Additionally there are several different focus areas available within the program: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Executive Leader, Family Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care, Informatics, and finally the Nurse Educator concentration.
