Attestation of College Studies (ACS)
Candidates for this program may have a keen interest in educating and proving care to young children. They might be creative, expressive and an excellent communicator. All applicants to an ACS program at CDI College must satisfy at least one of the following criteria: They have interrupted their studies for at least two consecutive semesters (or one school year), they have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies, or they are covered by an agreement between the college and an employer or by a government program. All CDI College applicants must be high school graduates or the equivalent. Some programs may have additional requirements.
The Early Childhood Education - JEE.13 program at CDI College is geared towards those who are interested in developing career-ready pedagogical skills and knowledge relating to children aged 0 to 12. Through a blend of lecture courses and hands-on workshops, this program covers subjects in child development and health, age-appropriate education and activity planning, safety, conflict resolution and professional issues. The required practicum portion also provides an opportunity for students to apply what they are learning in a real working environment. This course is available in English and French.
