Program Description:

From addiction intervention strategies to spirituality in addiction development and treatment, the Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health Science with an Emphasis in Substance Use Disorders program at Grand Canyon University is designed to address major aspects and impacts of addictive behavior and how to treat and prevent substance abuse. Students of this program could expect to learn more about the roles of counseling professionals in the prevention as well as initial and ongoing treatment and care of substance abusers; stages and processes of substance use disorders; and how grieving and loss can play a part in the development of addictive behaviors.
