Graduate student applicants must show proof of having completed an accredited bachelor's degree program with a minimum GPA of 2.8. Alternatively, sufficient scores on the GMAT and GRE exams may make an applicant eligible if he or she cannot meet the GPA requirements. Applicants must also provide a copy of their active teaching license or proof of one year of professional teaching experience. Access to a K-8 classroom is required as well.

The Master of Arts in Reading with an emphasis in Elementary Education program at Grand Canyon University is designed to help teachers provide high-quality reading instruction to students in K through 8th grade.
