Prospective students to the Masters of Public Health with a specialization in Global Health should possess strong analytical and research skills and should be interested in pursuing a career in the health sciences. Liberty University's Master of Public Health with a specialization in Global Health is designed to help students identify and address the health needs of communities across the globe. The coursework may introduce students to foundational understandings in health sciences as well as the principles of healthcare management and policy. The MPH with a specialization in Global Health program is an applied science degree, which means it is built upon both theory and practical experience to help students learn how real-world problems are identified and addressed in the field. The program also requires that students complete a practicum which helps develop leadership and communication skills. The global emphasis is intended to prepare students to work in a variety of settings around the world, including disaster relief, health and sanitation in foreign countries, and international ministry.
