Program Description:

The Career Diploma - Certified Wedding Planner program offered by Penn Foster is designed to teach students how to be successful bridal consultants throughout the wedding planning process. The program is designed to prepare students by giving an overview of the wedding industry, and explaining how to plan and execute event details, and how to meet client expectations. The program also offers students the opportunity to learn how to run a wedding planning business with regard to portfolio creation, financial planning and record-keeping, adherence to industry laws and standards, and marketing. With enrollment in this program, students gain entry into the Association of Bridal Consultants, and the program's final exam is ABC's Professional Wedding Planner Certification Exam. Should students pass this exam, they will be eligible to gain Certified Wedding Planner status along with their membership in the association.

Program Materials Supplied by Penn Foster:

Penn Foster provides students with guidebooks, a 6-month membership to the Association of Bridal Consultants, and a copy of Emily Post's Wedding Etiquette. An online library, career guidance, access to student services via e-mail, phone, and message board, and an online community are also offered.
