Program Description:

The curriculum of the Master of Education - Education Leadership Specialization program at Saint Leo University offers students the opportunity to build managerial skills in area of curriculum development, school personnel supervision, instructional design, school budgeting, and performance assessments. Students might learn more about decision-making processes in learning environments, learning improvement strategies, curriculum design practices for diverse populations, and best practices for school principals. School/community relations development and ethics in educational leadership might also be explored. In the program's practicum, students complete 150 hours wherein they must submit three school improvement assignments. This MEd program is approved by the state of Florida for teachers with K-12 certification who can complete the Practicum in the state of Florida intend to seek Education Leadership (Level 1) certification through the Florida Department of Education.
