Program Description:

Southern New Hampshire University's Bachelor of Science in Public Health program is designed to meet the curriculum standards of the Council on Education for Public Health. The general courses provide a foundation in math, biology, and social science subjects while the core courses allow students to focus on the public health system and learn how to make responsible public health decisions. Topics in the major courses could include epidemiology, public health research strategies, healthcare delivery systems, and public health education. Other required courses could address healthcare ethics and laws, determinants of human disease, the creation of health promotion programs, and how to identify health disparities. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in a capstone course where they develop and present an original paper or project related to public health strategies and programs.
