QA training programs are available as certificate programs and degree programs at the associate's, bachelor's and master's levels. These programs focus on the testing of products, processes or services to detect their level of quality. Students learn quality control principles that apply across many industries, and they receive hands-on training to learn to evaluate quality laboratory processes and operate instruments, such as pH meters and centrifuges. Some programs mix online study with hands-on classroom instruction, while others are offered entirely through online study.
Bergen Community College
With its main campus located in Paramus, Bergen Community College offers QA training as one of several specialized certificate programs available at the school. This program provides basic knowledge of quality systems used in a variety of industries, including the biotechnology, food, and personal care industries. It incorporates traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training with webinars.
This program doesn't include general education courses but focuses only on quality control coursework. Students learn about biotechnology, quality control, procedure writing, contamination prevention and FDA guidelines.
