Miami Dade College

Miami Dade College, the largest real estate appraiser education site in the state, offers a standalone course on real estate appraisal. The 100-hour registered trainee appraiser course is taught in the evening.

Real Estate Appraisal Pre-Licensing Course

Some of the topics covered in this class include the roles of appraisal trainees and supervisors, the procedures of appraisals and residential appraisal reports. The course also covers different techniques for appraising real estate.

University of Florida

The University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, offers real estate appraisal education classes as both a minor and major. Students can use the minor to supplement a major in a related program. Students looking to focus their studies on real estate can opt for the school's graduate options, which include a master's and doctorate degree program devoted to real estate.

Real Estate Minor

Available at both the undergraduate and graduate level, this minor can be used to supplement a similar major with an education in real estate. Students taking the minor may complete courses in the legal environment of business, principles of macro- or microeconomics, real estate investment decision-making and real estate analysis.

Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE)

This 10-month program includes mentoring by members of the university's Real Estate Advisory Board, as well as peer training from alumni of the program. This program focuses on the economics of real estate and prepares students to work at top universities across the country, or possibly in a non-academic research position.

University of Central Florida

The Dr. P. Phillips School of Real Estate at the University of Central Florida features an undergraduate program in business administration that includes a specialization in real estate. Students can also enroll in the school's certificate program.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Real Estate

The BSBA is an ideal degree program for those interested in estate investments, banking, finance, development, brokerage, appraisal, property management and other such related fields. In order to be allowed to sit for the licensing exam, the student must take 15 hours of classes, including fundamentals of real estate, professional selling and real estate appraisal and valuation. They must also complete an internship.

Real Estate Appraisal Certificate

This 15-credit program features a much shorter but more concentrated curriculum. Upon completion of this certificate, graduates will be qualified to take the Florida real estate appraiser's license.
