Miami Dade College
Miami Dade College, the largest real estate appraiser education site in the state, offers a standalone course on real estate appraisal.
Real Estate Appraisal Pre-Licensing Course
Some of the topics covered in this class include the roles of appraisal trainees and supervisors, the procedures of appraisals and residential appraisal reports. The course also covers different techniques for appraising real estate. The 100-hour registered trainee appraiser course is taught on weekends.
University of Florida

They must also complete an internship.

Taught in the evenings, this 20-month program is considered part time and designed for professionals. No work experience is required for admittance into this program. Students take 30 hours of curriculum that addresses advanced real estate topics, finance, accounting and marketing.
