"There is a crisis of which few are aware. Each year, thousands of foster children turn eighteen and 'age out' of the foster system without permanent families. The statistics are poor for finishing high school, finding stable employment, ability to afford rent, or sometimes even food! A significant percentage end up homeless or incarcerated.

As a former foster parent and adoptive mother of two of them, my dream is to have my own company with technology to identify and match older foster children with families willing to adopt them. My business degree will provide me the credentials to get started!"

Distance Learning Information & Resources

Online education has been around for quite some time, whether in the form of online college classes, earning a degree online, math tutoring, or even YouTube tutorials. Companies like Study.com take pride in making education accessible to all, providing students with the opportunity to pursue their education online in a meaningful way and even earn their degree online. While there certainly are differences from a more traditional education that can make learning challenging, there are numerous resources designed to help make those differences less stark and to make distance learning as accessible as possible.

Students across the globe struggle with things like paying for college, balancing school with work, and balancing family life and education - and this can all be an incredibly difficult to juggle. Earning college credits through online courses and CLEP exams help to mitigate those struggles and make life easier for students who have to balance school with their other commitments. Having the ability to learn at your own pace, complete work when you have time to do so, and access the classroom from anywhere with an internet connection is incredibly beneficial and allows students the flexibility they need to maintain balance in their lives.
