What Degree Programs Does Springfield College's Charleston Campus Offer?

Originally located in Springfield, Massachusetts, Springfield College started off as an educator of Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) executives. Its School of Human Services now has ten campuses throughout the United States, including a Charleston, South Carolina, location.

The school offers bachelor's and master's degrees and was the first private institution in the state to offer human services programs at these levels. Courses on the Charleston campus are designed primarily for busy, working adults. Individuals pursuing a bachelor's degree need only attend classes two weekends a month, while those earning a master's degree have classes one weekend each month.

Bachelor's Degree Programs in Human Services

The bachelor's degree programs, which can be completed in 16-24 months, allow students to choose from multiple concentrations. Some subjects include early childhood education, youth development, community leadership and addiction. In addition to being able to transfer credits earned from other institutions, students have the option of earning credits based on work and life experiences.

Master's Degree Programs in Human Services

Students in the master's degree program can earn their degree in 16 months. Positions available to program graduates include volunteer organization management and government agency administration. Students choose from concentrations in such areas as mental health counseling, community counseling and organizational management and leadership.
