The 26-credit certificate program includes courses in guest room management, hospitality operations, hospitality management and front office procedures. The hospitality management associate degree program features a hotel and lodging or a food and lodging specialization and requires 68 credits for graduation. Students are required to complete hospitality courses and an internship.
Central Texas College
Central Texas College is located in Killeen and includes several hospitality programs. Students can pursue certificates in rooms division, food and beverage management, institutional food service operations, restaurant operations and property management. The college also offers associate degrees in food and beverage management, hotel management and restaurant and culinary management. Each of these associate degrees requires students to complete 66 credits of coursework and an internship.
Collin County Community College District
Based in McKinney, Collin County Community College District offers an associate degree in hospitality and food service management. This program provides a meetings and event management track and a hotel/restaurant management track. The 64-69-credit program includes hospitality courses in legal issues, marketing and sales, facilities management, food and beverage operations and human resources management. Students can also pursue certificates in hotel/restaurant management and meetings and event management.
Houston Community College
Houston Community College is based in Houston, and students at the school can earn an associate degree in hospitality management. In addition to a cooperative education requirement, students also take courses in beverage management, front office procedures, hospitality marketing and facilities management. St. Philip's College
St. Philip's College is located in San Antonio and has three programs involving hotel and restaurant management. The hotel management associate degree is a 62-credit program that consists of general education requirements, hospitality courses and a practicum. Students in the hospitality management associate degree program are required to complete 60 credits and take courses in food and beverage controls, hospitality management and leadership, catering, accounting and hospitality marketing.
Tarrant County College District
Tarrant County College District is based in Fort Worth and provides several hospitality certificates and an associate degree in hospitality and restaurant administration. Students can pursue certificates in tourism and entertainment, event management and restaurant operations. These programs provide instruction in hospitality management and marketing, dining room service, front office procedures, facilities layout and food and beverage operations.
Texas Tech University
Based in Lubbock, Texas Tech University offers a bachelor's degree in restaurant, hotel and institutional management along with two graduate degrees in the hospitality field. Students are also required to participate in a practicum.

Texas Tech University also offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Hospitality Administration. This program provides instruction in research and statistics, education and hospitality, and a dissertation is required.
University of Houston
Located in Houston, the University of Houston has a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management. While the program features several concentrations, all students are required to complete 600 hours within two practicums. Emphases are available in a variety of subjects, including lodging management, wine and spirits management, catering management, restaurant management and international hospitality management. The school also offers a 36-credit hospitality management master's degree. This program allows students to choose a thesis or non-thesis option.
University of North Texas
The University of North Texas is based in Denton, and students at the school can pursue a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. Students take several business-related courses in accounting, management, marketing, human resources and finance. Students have an opportunity to participate in an internship and work on-campus at The Club at Gateway Center, which is a student-operated restaurant.
This university also provides a master's degree in hospitality management that is available onsite and online. Students can choose a thesis or non-thesis option.
