The University of Northwestern - St. Paul was ranked as the 13th best regional college in 2014 by U.S. News and World Report. Students interested in public relations can pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations through the Department of Communications at this school. The 125-credit program requires students to take a core communication curriculum combined with courses for journalism and PR. Areas of study include mass media and society, communication studies, intercultural communication, business communication, event-planning and writing for PR. The curriculum also includes workshops and internships that allow students to gain valuable public relations experience prior to graduation.
