Boston College is located in the Boston suburb of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Boston College, often called 'The Heights' because of its elevated position on Chestnut Hill, has four campuses and eight libraries. In addition to nearly 60 intramural and club sports, the Boston College Eagles men's and women's athletic teams compete in 27 intercollegiate sports in N.C.A.A. Division I-A.

BC is considered to have one of the 'most selective' admission processes with a 29 percent acceptance rate. Most incoming freshman graduate in the top 25 percent of their high school classes and typically submit SAT test scores between 1,250 and 1,420.
