Michigan State University is located in East Lansing, Michigan. The most popular majors are business, management and marketing. Michigan State University offers students certificates in addition to bachelors, master and doctorate level degree programs.

Located in suburban East Lansing, Michigan State University sits on a 5,200-acre campus with an additional 15,000 acres located throughout the state used for agricultural, animal and forestry research. Recognized for excellence among public research universities, MSU has been dubbed a 'Public Ivy' institution, and ranks #71 the list of America's Best Colleges.

In addition to the university's overall high ranking, MSU's business and engineering programs earned top honors, ranking among the top 50 in the nation. Specific programs awarded were business programs in accounting, international business, management, marketing, operations management and logistics management, as well as its agricultural engineering program.

Michigan State is the leader in study abroad programs among U.S. public universities with a 20 percent participation rate. The university offers more than 200 programs in more than 60 countries.

MSU awards certificates, as well as bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in more than 200 programs of study. Nearly 20 percent of undergraduates major in business, management and marketing. Pre-professional programs are also offered in law, medicine and veterinary science. Ninety-five percent of MSU graduates find a job in a field related to their major within six months of graduation.

Michigan State is considered 'more selective' in its admission process, with a 73 percent acceptance rate. Incoming freshmen typically have a grade point average of 3.6 and submit ACT test scores between 22 and 27. The majority of applicants rank in the top 50 percent of their high school graduating classes
