Middle Tennessee State University is located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee approximately 30 miles southeast of Nashville. Students can earn bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.

Middle Tennessee State University is a public school and the second-largest postsecondary institution in the state. Once known primarily for nursing and teaching programs, Middle Tennessee State has more recently gained a reputation for well-rounded degrees in other areas as well.

Middle Tennessee State is located in Murfreesboro, a city of nearly 100,000 in the center of the state. The university resides on an 800 acre campus with many recreational opportunities. More than 200 organizations offer students additional opportunities to become active in campus life.

Middle Tennessee State offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees through seven colleges. With an undergraduate student body of more than 20,000, Middle Tennessee State is considered a 'selective' school.

The university does offer a 'guaranteed admission' program for students with a grade-point average of at least 3.0. Students may also qualify if they score at least 22 on the ACT or 1020 on the SAT.
