Northern Arizona University is located in Flagstaff, Arizona approximately 140 miles north of Phoenix. The most popular majors for undergrads are education, business, marketing, liberal arts, communications and social sciences. Northern Arizona University offers certificates as well as bachelors, masters and doctorate level degree programs.

Northern Arizona University which is located in the rural community of Flagstaff ranks #38th in the nation for its engineering program, and is well known for its hotel and restaurant management program where students get hands-on experience in the student-run campus hotel.

With an undergraduate enrollment approaching 15,000, students compete in a 'selective' admission process with an 86% acceptance rate. The average incoming freshman has a grade point average of 3.4 and SAT test scores between 920 and 1,110 or ACT test scores between 20 and 25.

Students at NAU can earn certificates, as well as bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees.

Many students choose to complete their Northern Arizona degree completely online. The most popular degree programs both online and offline are in education, business, marketing, liberal arts, communications and social sciences. Research opportunities are also available in biology, geology, ecology, archaeology, geography, anthropology, engineering and forestry.

With 91 different undergraduate degrees through eight colleges and schools, NAU boasts a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. Forty percent of classes are also held with fewer than 20 students, and the average class size is 27.
