Robotics engineers play a more substantive role in the design and creation of complex systems. Subsequently they are required to complete more rigorous academic training. Many robotics positions demand applicants have at least a bachelor's degree, though advanced degrees are often preferred. Increasingly competitive, it's recommended that engineering students have internship or work experience to separate themselves from other applicants.
