Troy University is located in Troy, Alabama approximately 55 miles south of Montgomery. The most popular undergraduate majors are business management, security and protective services, education, computer sciences and psychology. Troy University offers associates, bachelors and masters level degree programs.

Troy University is located in southeastern Alabama. Although Troy's main campus is 50 miles south of Montgomery in a rural community, it has 60 satellite campuses in 11 countries and 17 states.

Long known as a teacher's college, Troy has also partnered with the United States eArmyU Access Online in offering occupation-related degrees through distance learning to soldiers serving around the world.

With a combined total of over 20,000 undergraduate students enrolled at multiple campuses, Troy is 'selective' in its admission process and admits 74% of applicants. The typical incoming freshman has a grade point average of 3.2 and an ACT test score between 17 and 23.

Troy offers associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees, and the most popular majors are business management, security and protective services, education, computer sciences and psychology.

Troy also offers pre-professional degrees in law, dentistry, medicine, theology, veterinary science, optometry and pharmacy. Students at Troy enjoy a student-to-faculty ratio of 22:1, and 55% of classes are held with fewer than 20 students.
