The University of Alabama is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama approximately 50 miles southwest of Birmingham. Alabama's business program ranks in the top 50 nationally as well as its engineering program in the top 100.

Undergraduate enrollment is just under 20,000, and the university is regarded as 'more selective' with an overall acceptance rate of 70%. Students accepted for admission generally have a grade point average of 3.4, an SAT score of 1,000 to 1,260 and an ACT score of 21 to 27.

UA offers pre-professional degrees in law, dentistry, medicine, optometry and pharmacy. And impressively 97% of recent graduates from the School of Law took and passed the Alabama bar exam.
