Cornell University is located in Ithaca, New York approximately 50 miles south of Syracuse. The most popular undergraduate majors are engineering, business, biology and social sciences.

Cornell University is a private institution located in Ithaca. Founded in 1865, the school is a member of the Ivy League and widely considered to be among the elite institutions in the nation. Cornell is ranked 12th overall in the America's Best Colleges report.

Established in a tradition of providing a comprehensive, well-rounded education, the school places emphasis on having programs of the highest quality across a broad spectrum of academic disciplines. Included among the esteemed programs are medicine, architecture, business and engineering.

Cornell's 745-acre campus is located in a city of about 30,000 in central New York State and features stately architecture, manicured lawns and ivy-covered walls.
