The University of Idaho is located in Moscow, Idaho approximately 300 miles north of Boise. The most popular undergraduate majors are business, management and marketing, education, communication and journalism, engineering and natural resources and conservation. The University of Idaho offers certificates in addition to bachelors, masters and doctorate level degree programs.

The University of Idaho, located in the rural city of Moscow, boasts the largest campus in Idaho and one of the most scenic campuses in the west. U of I is ranked in the third tier of national universities in the America's Best Colleges report.

In addition to offering the only law program in Idaho, the U of I offers 154 undergraduate majors in 54 degree programs through eight colleges. Two additional colleges on campus are exclusively for graduate students. About 48 percent of classes have less than 20 students and the student-to-faculty ratio is 18:1.

The university awards certificates, as well as bachelor's, master's, doctorate and specialists' degrees. Pre-professional programs are offered in medicine and veterinary science, and the most popular majors are business, management and marketing, education, engineering, communication and journalism, and natural resources and conservation.

The University of Idaho maintains learning communities and research facilities throughout the state, and boasts the largest library in Idaho with more than two million holdings. Students who attend U of I participate in about 200 registered student organizations, including 20 minority and international student groups, 27 fraternities and sororities and a student-run newspaper.

The University of Idaho maintains a 'selective' admission process with an 80 percent acceptance rate. Students seeking admission come from every state and 73 countries. Typical incoming freshmen graduate in the top 50 percent of their high school classes, have a grade point average of 3.4 and ACT test scores between 20 and 26.
