The University of Miami is located just outside of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The most popular undergraduate degree programs are business, management and marketing, visual and performing arts, biology, communications and social sciences. The University of Miami offers degree programs at the bachelors, masters, doctorate and professional levels.

The University of Miami is a private, non-sectarian institution in the suburban of Coral Gables. The university earned the #52 spot on the list of America's Best Colleges. In addition to its overall ranking, the University of Miami's business program ranked a respectable #72.

Miami awards certificates, as well as more than 280 bachelor's, master's, doctorate and professional degrees through its 12 schools. Pre-professional programs are offered in law, dentistry, medicine, veterinary science and pharmacy. The five most popular majors on campus are business, management and marketing, visual and performing arts, biology, communications, and social sciences.

University of Miami students participate in more than 270 registered student organizations, including 29 fraternities and sororities. The university's sports teams compete in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The green, orange and white Hurricanes field 15 men's and women's athletic teams.

Students compete in a 'more selective' admission process. Miami has a 40 percent acceptance rate. Typical incoming freshmen have SAT test scores between 1,180 and 1,360.

Small class sizes and a student-to-faculty ratio of 13:1 are an important part of Miami's learning environment. In fact, over 50 percent of classes for undergraduates have 15 or fewer students and over 75 percent have 25 or fewer students.
