The University of Nevada at Las Vegas is located just miles away from the Las Vegas strip. The most popular undergraduate degree programs are business, education, communications, psychology and social sciences. The University of Nevada at Las Vegas offers bachelors, masters and doctoral level degree programs.

The University of Nevada at Las Vegas, commonly referred to as UNLV, is a public institution in the southern part of the state. In its 50-year history, the school has grown from a small branch institution into a respected research university. Today UNLV offers acclaimed programs in a wide variety of academic areas.

UNLV's campus is located within two miles of the celebrated Las Vegas strip where relatively few students live on campus. The school nonetheless hosts a wide range of social events throughout the academic year and offers extracurricular activities through some 180 campus organizations. A very popular student pastime at the university is supporting the Rebels, UNLV's athletic teams competing in the Mountain West Conference.

UNLV has an undergraduate student body of nearly 22,000. It is considered a 'selective' school, with a freshman acceptance rate of 75 percent. Incoming students have a grade point average of 3.3 and generally score in the 900 to 1130 range on the SAT and between 19 and 24 on the ACT.
