Oregon earned the #112 overall ranking in the 2008 report of America's Best Colleges from U.S. News & World Report. Business, architecture, education, journalism, law and the arts are only a few of the university's strong offerings.

The University of Oregon is set on a campus of nearly 300 acres in Eugene, a city with a reputation for eco-friendly living, activist political leanings and a lively arts scene. Proximity to mountains, forests and scenic waterways make hiking, biking, rafting and kayaking popular among students. Some 250 campus organizations provide students with many additional opportunities to pursue their interests. Another popular pastime is supporting the Ducks, Oregon's athletic teams, which compete in the Pacific 10 Conference.
