The University of Southern California is located in Los Angeles, California. The University of Southern California is one of the world's leading private research universities, as well as California's oldest private research institution. USC is considered 'most selective' in its admission process with a 25 percent acceptance rate. Typical incoming freshmen graduate in the top 25 percent of their high school classes, carry a grade point average of 3.7 and submit SAT test scores between 1,280 and 1,460.
