The University of Tulsa is a private institution located in northeastern Oklahoma. Founded in 1894, the school is among the oldest and best established in the state. Tulsa ranks #91 overall in the 2008 America's Best Colleges report created by U.S. News & World Report.

The University of Tulsa's campus is a center of bustling activity with much of student life occurring at 'The U,' a commons area surrounded by academic and residential buildings. Nearly two-thirds of Tulsa students live in university housing, providing for a close community atmosphere. Nearly 250 campus groups allow those with eclectic interests and backgrounds to get involved in university life.

The University of Tulsa has an undergraduate student body of nearly 3,000. One of the 'more selective' schools in the nation, the university has a freshman acceptance rate of 76 percent. Most incoming students have a grade point average of 3.8 and score in the 1070 to 1380 range on the SAT and the 23 to 30 range on the ACT.
