Tarrant County College

Tarrant County College is one of the largest institutions of higher learning in Texas. It has six campuses, in Hurst, Fort Worth and Arlington. Its Northeast campus in Hurst offers a certificate in fashion merchandising and an associate's degree in business administration with a concentration in fashion merchandising.

Certificate of Completion in Fashion Merchandising

Students may complete this certificate program on its own or as the basis of the associate's degree program in fashion merchandising. Bachelor of Science in Home Furnishings Merchandising

The bachelor's degree in home furnishings merchandising combines the study of business concepts with the development of creative skills. Students sharpen drawing skills, both by hand and with the use of computer-aided design software. Coursework includes promotion, textiles, global home furnishing industries and merchandising mathematics. An internship is also required.

Master of Science in Merchandising

This master's degree program in merchandising is offered by the Department of Merchandising and Digital Retailing and is designed to prepare students for leadership positions in an international marketplace. The program emphasizes research in the consumer experience, purchase motivation and retailing. Students can decide between a thesis or non-thesis option; students in the non-thesis option must complete a comprehensive written examination in lieu of a thesis.
