- The University of Nevada - Las Vegas (UNLV) offers a program in graphic design and media to prepare students for careers in web design and other visual media fields. The university is located 6.5 miles from downtown Las Vegas.

College of Southern Nevada
Serving over 33,000 students across three campuses in the Las Vegas metropolitan area, the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) primarily offers 2-year associate degree programs in vocational and technical fields. CSN has two divisions and six separate schools, including the School of Advanced and Applied Technologies, which offers an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) program with a focus on Web design.
Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Communication with a Concentration in Web Design
The A.A.S. program requires completion of 60-63 credits. This 2-year program includes coursework in drawing and illustration, layout and typography, digital media and electronic design. Three courses in web design will also be required.
University of Nevada - Las Vegas
The University of Nevada - Las Vegas (UNLV) has grown to over 30,000 students since its founding in 1957. UNLV has fifteen different departments offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design & Media is offered jointly by the Department of Art and the College of Fine Arts.
Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design & Media
Students in the B.S. program learn technological and critical thinking skills to prepare them for careers in fields such as Web design, publication design, motion graphics and animation. The program places an emphasis on hands-on experience and design. Students complete 120 credits, of which 36 are focused on design media, including ideation and process, Web and interface design, modeling and typography. There are also 27 required credits in art foundations and art history. Each student completes a capstone portfolio prior to graduation.
